Little Leaves Outdoor Art Play - Casual Visit

Term 4 2023 - Every Second Thursday from October 19, 2023 12pm-1.30pm  - Leaves and Fishes Lovedale.

Our program is designed to provide a unique and enriching experience for children aged 2 to 10 years old, combining the beauty of nature with the joy of artistic expression.

Located amidst the picturesque surroundings of Leaves And Fishes, our outdoor art play group offers a perfect setting for children to explore and engage with the natural world. Surrounded by lush greenery, serene lakes, and vibrant flora, children are immersed in a truly captivating environment that sparks their creativity and imagination.

Our classes will be outdoors so we suggest to bring a change of clothes and dress for the weather. Heavy downpour classes will be cancelled but light drizzle will not.
Each week, our play group begins with a 30-minute structured art activity. Led by experienced art educators, children are encouraged to experiment with various art materials, techniques, and mediums. Whether it's painting, drawing, sculpting, or collage-making, our aim is to foster self-expression and nurture artistic skills. Children are guided through the process, allowing them to explore their individual creativity while also learning new artistic techniques.

After the structured art activity, the play group transitions into an hour  of unstructured playtime. This is where the true magic happens, as children have the freedom to explore the beautiful surroundings of Leaves And Fishes. They can run through grassy meadows, discover hidden paths, climb trees, or even create their own nature-inspired artworks using the materials they find in their surroundings.

During this unstructured playtime, children have the opportunity to engage in imaginative play, socialize with their peers, and further develop their motor skills. They can build forts, play in the sand, engage in nature-based scavenger hunts, or simply enjoy the freedom of being in nature. Our playgroup facilitators are present to ensure the safety and well-being of the children while also encouraging their exploration and playfulness.
