Making Tables: Exploring Marks and Faces
This term in Making Tables, we dive into the wonderful world of mark making—the building blocks of all drawing and artistic expression. Children will be introduced to a variety of mark making techniques using natural mediums like sticks, leaves, clay, charcoal, and more. From bold strokes to delicate patterns, we’ll experiment with textures and lines to create imaginative works. As the term progresses, we’ll explore making faces through these marks—silly, serious, abstract, and expressive—celebrating each child’s unique style and story through art.
