We specialise in fun, colourful and creative art classes
These classes are 75 minutes.
A 2-hour class (3:30 pm to 5:30 pm) is available on request and subject to availability. Please chat to us before booking if so.

Location - Nature and Nurture Building - 11 Steam Street, Maitland
Theme – Art Around the World
Week 1 – Japan
Japanese Sumi-e Ink Painting – Explore expressive brushstrokes and create a bamboo, blossom or nature painting using black ink and watercolour.
Week 2 – Mexico
Mexican Folk Art – Design a brightly coloured folk-art animal inspired by traditional alebrijes, using bold patterns and contrasting colours.
Week 3 – Australia
Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art – Explore storytelling through colour, lines and connection to Country, inspired by a named contemporary Aboriginal artist. Children will create personal landscape artworks without copying sacred symbols.
Week 4 – India
Indian Block Printing – Design and carve a simple foam printing block, then create a repeating textile-inspired pattern on paper or fabric.
Week 5 – France
Impressionist Painting – Study light, colour and visible brushstrokes inspired by Monet, then paint a garden, pond or outdoor landscape.
Week 6 – Ghana
West African Textile Design – Explore the colours and geometric patterns found in Ghanaian kente cloth and create a woven-paper or painted textile design.
Week 7 – Italy
Mosaic Art – Design an Italian-inspired mosaic using coloured paper, painted tiles, clay pieces or recycled materials.
Week 8 – Ukraine
Petrykivka Decorative Painting – Learn traditional floral brush techniques and create a vibrant botanical artwork featuring layered flowers, leaves and berries.
Week 9 – Around the World
Mini Art Exhibition & Collaborative Globe – Each student will complete or display their favourite piece and contribute a technique from the term to a large collaborative world artwork.
